(Paname Distribution)

anglais Bardem like Basil Fawlty, except instead of a hotel, it’s a company that makes weight-measuring instruments. The boss appears outwardly as perfectly calibrated and meticulously adjusts the misaligned scales to fulfill his ambitions. Being the balancing act is demanding, especially when you bring your own scales close to the interns. With a slight touch of satire, the film portrays the hypocrisy in the owner-employee relationship, where one’s interest in the other ends where personal interests begin. It’s a slice-of-life film filled with everyday exceptionalism. By the end, Javier seems like he’d like to walk around the office with a slaughter pistol, but this time it is he who must choose a side while tossing a coin. ()
