anglais I have to admit, I had no idea this was based on a Stephen King story when I first watched it. I just randomly picked a film that caught my eye. The story quickly unfolds towards an inevitable tragedy — you can sense that right from the start. What you can't predict is what happens next, and there's quite a bit that unfolds, all cloaked in darkness and mystery. I actually enjoyed it. Sure, the storytelling might feel a bit slow, but the atmosphere is so strong and enigmatic that it keeps you hooked, even when nothing major is happening. ()

anglais An excellent Stephen King adaptation – and there aren’t many of them. The specific atmosphere of the source material is captured perfectly and both Donald Sutherland and Jaeden Martell's performances keep the viewer's attention until the end, although the film is rather slower and at first glance "not much happens". No, it's not a horror film, it's more of a thought-provoking ghost movie, it doesn't feature any shocking events or any directorial finesse, but that doesn't mean it can't be entertaining and beautiful. anglais Hard to believe something like this could last 105 minutes. There's no horror, no suspense, no major conflict or overarching theme. Only a few times do the notes of a funny boomer morality rant ring out. Donald Sutherland and Jaeden Martell are wasted on this. ()
