John Carpenter may have made Someone's Watching Me! as a TV movie, but he managed to put so much tension into it that you simply won't find in many other similar thrillers. You could cut the atmosphere and it has a bit of an Italian giallo feel to it, which is nice, but it also has hints of a realistically gritty horror film like Halloween, which Carpenter made the same year. For a TV film it’s certainly good, but for Carpenter it’s just average. It should be shorter, 97 minutes for such a simple story about one maniac and one victim is too much. I didn’t feel real tension until the last 10 minutes. ()
