L'agent de la DSO, Leon S. Kennedy, est en mission pour sauver le Dr Antonio Taylor de ses ravisseurs, lorsqu'une femme mystérieuse contrecarre sa poursuite. Pendant ce temps, l'agent du BSAA Chris Redfield enquête sur une épidémie de zombies à San Francisco, dont la cause de l'infection ne peut être identifiée. La seule chose que les victimes ont en commun est qu'elles ont toutes visité l'île d'Alcatraz récemment. Suite à cet indice, Chris et son équipe se dirigent vers l'île, où de nouvelles horreurs les attendent. (ESC Distribution)

I never expected that the Resident Evil franchise would become a true Marvel-like experience. This is Avengers through and through. As a huge fan of the game series, I was intrigued by the idea of bringing all the main protagonists together in one film. It ends up being quite a mix, but never mind! In terms of the story, Death Island doesn’t offer much, as it loosely follows up on Vendetta from 2017 (which I personally found to be of better quality). The action sequences aren’t disappointing, and it’s quite enjoyable to see all the characters working together. The final battle with the monster could rival any superhero showdown (but this also seemed a bit over the top to me). The words "restraint" and "moderation" are completely foreign to this installment of the RE saga! :D For me, it’s a 6/10.
