Not everything Scandinavian filmmakers shoot is worth watching, unfortunately. Ehrengard falls to the bottom of the list of films deserving attention. The exterior shots are traditionally beautiful, so no complaints there. But if you're expecting a nod to French historical adventure stories based on the synopsis, you're in for a disappointment. The focus here is on romance (the dull kind).
