This time I missed some of the subversive surprises, because Arkangel actually played out as I expected from start to finish. But that doesn't mean I'm not worried and, above all, uneasy that such technologies are just around the corner, if not right at the door. ()
Love + hypersensitive care = iParenting_1984 2.0 or when education is replaced by control. Undoubtedly one of the most ordinary episodes (moreover, it is clear not only what it is aimed at, but also where it will get there), but it is the “everyday commonness" and the dilemma of every parent in finding boundaries “that you can reach in terms of education/ control/ trust" that make it outstanding. ()
A solidly executed premise about excessive maternal care. However, as soon as the viewer figures out what technological gimmick they will have to use, nothing will surprise them very much until the end. In short, it somehow leads to the conclusion that it was supposed to lead to. The direction is rather plain and it’s not possible to create a bond with the main characters; you can understand them, but they are both pretty unlikeable. ()
