Date Movie relies on first-rate nastiness and obscenities rather than trying to parody in a funny way the many romantic films that have "stood as models" for it. I found the film to be, within reason, funnier while Alyson Hannigan was in her latex suit, after that it was (apart from the big-assed wedding coordinator) one big, pathetic borefest.
