anglais A solid drama that draws heavily on being based on a true story. Sports movies aren’t generally my cup of tea, but Gridiron Gang was a treat. I was really impressed by The Rock’s excellent performance which shows that he can act even roles like this and I must admit that Xzibit supports him adeptly. A high three stars. ()

anglais The structure of this film is pretty standard. Outsiders are striving to reach the top in sport - this time it's American football. The difference is that these young players are criminals and train in a prison. If the film were a bit grittier and showed us more vividly the hell these guys come from, it would probably have a stronger impact. As it is, it still feels like a family film about how outsiders overcome challenges. The Rock is a stud in any movie, though. ()
