If you didn't already know it, Abe Hiroshi is a really good actor. He's done a lot of movies and TV shows, but to be honest, it was his role as Kuwano that stuck with me the most. His gestures, his tone of voice, his looks. It all stuck in my mind, so I would say he's really worth seeing. It's a comedy, it's supposed to be romantic, but you know how they do romance in Japan – a little different than say Korea or America, no grand gestures, no gallons of tears shed. The guys here in particular express their affection differently. But it doesn't matter, because it's still fun to watch. It's a relationship movie on every level. After Abe, the biggest genius is the ugly dog, who I didn't find so ugly after all. A better 3 stars. ()
