Au cours d'un jeu télévisé, « Peeping Toms » Danielle Breton, mannequin, comédienne, fait la rencontre d'un jeune homme, Philip Woode, publicitaire. Ils se retrouvent au restaurant, malgré la tentative d'Emil Breton, l'ex-mari de Danielle, de perturber cette soirée, tout se déroule merveilleusement jusqu'au lendemain matin, où Philip apprend que Danielle a une soeur jumelle, Dominique, dont c'est l'anniversaire.
