I really love European movies and the Netherlands film, what a film, incredibly surprising. Winter at War is a story from World War II, which has a completely justified title. If we can talk about the real winter during the Second World War, it will probably be just around the years 1944 and 1945, when many of them experienced it precisely in the Ardennes, not far from this story. The frozen Netherlands looked very nice and added to the atmosphere, which is incredibly necessary in war movies. The second thing that really impressed me in this film was the acting performance of that boy, on whom the war took its toll. Winter at War is a very nice war film about one of the war stories. The Dutch knew why to go to the cinema for this film and make it the most visited domestic film in 2008.
