A mafia turf war is raging on the mean streets of the Big Apple, a place where regular Joes bounce between backdoor booze joints and the breadline. But this caper ain't about a simple gangland brawl. It's about hoods who can't seem to die proper after catching a bullet or five between the eyes. Sadistic hit-men and the dames they love, mad bombers going boom, monsters going bump and soul sucking alchemists bootlegging an elixir of eternal life. (texte officiel du distributeur)

anglais Not a pure 5 stars as I wasn't really hooked for the first few episodes. But after that... wow, what a ride! :-) And the best was Isaac and Miria anyway – robbing the museum... You have to pay a little more attention here, you have to really watch and pay attention. And wow, I was tense until the end, I didn't get upset over the long speeches because there weren't any, it was action – fun. And yet it had a story, yet it was moving somewhere, yet it ran beautifully to the end. I'm in such a great mood because of it! :-) Probably because of all the landed, nailed and generally likeable characters, most of whom were gentlemen or psychopaths or both. Just awesome. Just a mishmash. Just a mess. Just awesome! And don't forget the OVA :-) EDIT. 12 Apr 2010: Watch it once and it might be a "dirty" 5 stars, but watch it a second time and it's a full-blooded 5 stars... :-D ()

anglais Baccano! is a brilliant mix of fun, action, suspense, mystery, and romance. In addition, you get a perfect show when you add amazing characters, a great atmosphere, and really interesting processing, which requires a lot of attention so that the viewer does not miss the individual connections. Almost everything has already been said on FilmBooster by other reviewers, so I am just going to confirm that Isaac and Miria are a brilliant duo. Besides them, I liked Firo, Ennis, Ladd, and Rail Tracer. However, the other characters were great, and even Jacuzzi, who was a bit of a pain in the ass for the first three episodes, showed what he was made of. I also have to say that this was an anime series where I never once skipped the opening, not only because almost all the characters are introduced for the sake of orientation, but mainly because I just liked the music.
