Pour l'escorter vers la mine d'or où l'attend son mari blessé, Leah Fuller engage trois aventuriers, Hooker, Fiske et Daly. Une mission particulièrement risquée car, avant d'arriver sur les lieux, il leur faut traverser une région infestée d'indiens, parmi les tribus les plus belliqueuses de Californie. En dépit des embûches, d'une nature hostile et d'une discorde qui tourne parfois à la bagarre, les pistoleros et leur protégée arrivent sains et saufs à destination. Le voyage de retour s'annonce plus périlleux encore les indiens resserrant autour du petit groupe une étreinte dont on ne s'échappe pas... (Sidonis Calysta)

You can definitely tell this film is from 1954. It has that classic intro and ending you’d recognize if you’ve ever watched an old-school Hollywood movie—the kind Tarantino’s characters might watch, with a nod to the golden age of cinema. And then there’s that shot focusing on the closing credits with the Cinemascope logo, giving it that nostalgic touch. It’s all pretty straightforward, but the outdoor scenes are stunning, and the colorization is beautifully done. However, the story itself is a bit of a snooze, and the acting doesn’t do much to elevate it.
