Young John Connor, whose favorite drink is draft cola, tries to walk in seven-league boots alongside Vera Farmiga. The result is pretending to pretend, with an unmistakably naive concealment of one of the main character’s identities. Let’s pretend that the associated twist caught everyone off guard. Neither the review board nor Walter Sobchak saw it coming.
