Liev Schreiber stars as Ned, a loving husband and devoted father dealing with life's curveballs. A very good premise with an excellent cast, but it gets lost in a fairly flat execution with no depth, which is a real shame. I was most pleased with Helen Hunt, Ezra Miller (unexpectedly) and Brian Dennehy in their roles. In short, an average drama about the life of one family, in which classic problems are solved - it neither offends nor impresses.

Maybe it would be a good story if it was told completely differently than it actually was. Anyway, it's not an easy topic. Marriage in crisis and the discovery that their son is gay is really not an easy story to process, and here I was twice as sorry, because Liev Schreiber and Helen Hunt are actors that I really like to see in the movie.
