In its time, it must have been truly groundbreaking because it properly ushered in the era of famous and even more famous mafia films. However, nowadays it feels a bit worn out, it lacks tension, and all the action unfolds only in dialogues. That's a shame because there are parts that deserve a bit more care and attention. The idea of the rise and fall is classic and good regardless. ()
