No Man's Land

A highly praised and renowned Chinese blockbuster abroad, it hasn't got much space here yet. I myself am not too enthusiastic, I can't get over the fact that the film rips off the cult-classic U-Turn in almost every way, which was closer to me both in the cast and in the style of storytelling. But I can't say that I was bored, some scenes are very entertaining and the film has its right desert atmosphere and interesting characters, but I expected more drive. The film definitely deserves more attention as it is undoubtedly a quality film. For me 65%. (27/07/2014)
