Amanda Shelton tient un sympathique restaurant hérité de sa défunte mère. Si ses talents culinaires laissent à désirer, elle se rattrape par un charme irresistible et une délicieuse propension à dire ce qu'elle pense. Un jour Tom Bartlett, responsable exécutif d'un grand magasin chic, emmène déjeuner chez Amanda la précieuse ridicule qui est sa fiancée. Si le repas sonne la rupture entre le jeune homme et sa partenaire, les trompettes du coup de foudre se font entendre et, au dessert, il est deja envoûté par la belle Amanda. Wow, some elements at the beginning were actually quite good. Even the crab isn't bad at all. But then it turned into a not-very-interesting romance set in the world of cooking, and I would bet that some of the cooking is done quite poorly. The worst part is when the main characters kiss and start floating. The plot breaks down and gets really silly at that point. This was supposed to be a plot twist where love faces challenges, but it's so banal and clichéd that it doesn't have the right spark. If the film was watchable up to that point, it becomes quite a mess afterward.
