Despite the fact that married high school sweethearts Celeste (Rashida Jones) and Jesse (Andy Samberg) have now separated, they continue to live next door to one another, are constantly kept up to date about what the other is up to, and spend almost every free minute together. Their lack of boundaries begins to irritate even their best friends who can no longer stand how close the "officially separated" couple remain. But when successful and self-confident Celeste asks not particularly driven and once again unemployed Jesse for a divorce, the difficulties begin. Jesse, who still loves Celeste, does not want an official end to their relationship. And then, over time, Celeste also begins to realise that she doesn't really want to let Jesse go, especially not with a new woman at his side. (texte officiel du distributeur)
