The feature debut of Austrian director, Sebastian Meise, depicts the life of a family which is forced to face an unexpected and scandalous revelation casting a dark shadow over their father's reputation. The intimate drama, captured by a detached and almost documentary camera, focuses not only on the question of guilt, morals and conscience, but also on what is considered a tolerable form of love today and where its boundaries end. Meise neither judges his characters, nor looks for absolution or on whom to place the blame. It is a certain detachment and reserve combined with the excellent acting performance that give the picture its expressiveness and plausibility. (Febiofest)
