Blu a pris son envol et se sent désormais chez lui à Rio de Janeiro, aux côtés de Perla et de leurs trois enfants. Mais la vie de perroquet ne s'apprend pas en ville et Perla insiste pour que la famille s'installe dans la forêt amazonienne. Alors que Blu essaie de s'habituer à ses nouveaux voisins, il s'inquiète de voir Perla et ses enfants beaucoup plus réceptifs à l'appel de la jungle. (20th Century Fox FR)

More drawn-out and annoying than the first episode. There’s too much singing, too many clichés, too few ideas... Plus, I didn’t expect the film to steal from Meet the Parents, but that doesn't mean it's a surprise. I mean this in a good way. Moreover, because of Jesse Eisenberg's voice, the film was only watchable for me in the Czech dubbing, thus making the main character somehow bearable. The animation is of course beautiful, the choreography of the "dance" scenes is again great and one new character is flawless (the anteater!). But that simply wasn't enough.

For a sequel, it’s pretty good, but it's no miracle. It took me a while to get into the film, but it started to appeal to me - several really good jokes and well-crafted characters managed to keep the film at least at an average level. I'm quite curious whether there will be a third installment of this eco cartoon.
