Six-Pack

This film might not jump out at you when you first scroll through Netflix, but it’s one of those hidden gems that pleasantly surprises you if you give it a chance. Unfortunately, it doesn’t get much promotion, so you really have to dig to find films like this. Despite its low ratings, I found it to be a pretty solid mystery crime thriller. Sure, the opening scene is terrible, but once it gets going, the atmosphere builds up nicely. The ending, in particular, feels like something straight out of a classic French crime drama. (12/08/2021)
