Quand le jeune Assistant Procureur Mitch Brockden renverse accidentellement un homme après une soirée alcoolisée, il prend la fuite pour ne pas ruiner sa carrière. Peu après, Clinton Davis, un homme connu pour ses activités criminelles, est retrouvé avec le corps et arrêté pour meurtre. Mitch, pris de remords, instruit l'affaire et réussit à faire acquitter Davis. Mais le procès terminé, Brockden découvre que celui qu'il a innocenté cache un lourd secret. One doesn't often see a script written this poorly. It has so many holes in its meaningfulness and logic. The characters here don't behave as they should according to their personalities, professions, and so on. It’s so bad that it hurts. Everything is just for the sake of that effect and to achieve it, regardless of how important it is that the characters eventually become quite unbearable, even when played by beloved actors. Jackson unnecessarily tries to give his character depth, which just turns him into another ordinary lunatic. Yeah, I was hurting by the end.
