I was afraid the remake wouldn't be any good, but in this case, I have to say the creators went a bit further. They removed the military element and presented the audience with a beautiful sci-fi that works on a fairy tale level, an emotional level, and ultimately, an action-packed level. The battles depicted here are truly magnificent, and Mothra is showcased as a very capable monster with a wide array of weapons. One of the most beautiful kaiju films I've had the opportunity to see so far. (06/04/2014)
