anglais This year the competition in home-invasion movies is very strong and this fairy-tale about a blind girl and a violent cabinet maker in a yellow cloak (happy ending included) doesn’t have much of a chance of being well received by fussy viewers. Especially when, for most of the time, said cabinet maker just stands in a corner and does nothing, while Esmeralda tries to kill herself stepping on sharp objects and whatnot. ()

anglais The film was made without any standout features and relies solely on the audience sympathizing with a blind girl. If I truly felt she was a blind girl, maybe it would work, but in this case, it's just a slightly daring, poorly thought-out, and quite unremarkable story that echoes the concept of the film The Purge. Except this time, it's not really a harsh concept but just a classic idea with a person trapped in their own home. ()
