Rick et Morty (2013)

anglais A slightly unoriginal but hilarious animated series. If it wasn't for South Park, it would have been the most offensive animated series, because Rick is the way he is. If you don't get discouraged by the weak beginning and you have a sense of humor, you will like it. ()

Season 1 (2013) (S01)

anglais After the first season, I'm absolutely thrilled. Since I didn’t know what I was in for, I was slightly thrown off by the first episode. I quickly recovered in the second episode and by the end of the season I was enjoying all the things that are denied to me in the so-called politically correct films and shows. The most fitting description I can think of is: mind-blowing. ()

Anatomy Park (2013) (S01E03)

anglais Another great episode. There were tons of movie references, and the nod to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was a surprising highlight — definitely not where I expected to find it! ()

Season 2 (2015) (S02)

anglais Season 2 is over, and while the most memorable line from the first one was “I’m Mr. Meeseek, look at me!”; this time it's “Show me what you got!” Anyway, I'm totally satisfied. The show is a guarantee of a good time. Plus, the end of the second season invited me to watch the third one and I can’t wait. On the other hand, the death of Birdperson was truly heartbreaking... ()

Season 3 (2017) (S03)

anglais There were occasional minor imperfections, but I bet even Leonardo and Michelangelo got criticized by a meaningless nobody (and no, I don't mean the ninja turtles). Of all the animated series I've ever seen, this one’s the best by a long shot. I look forward to each new episode. Unfortunately, I'm going to be looking forward to it for quite some time. Season 3 was considerably darker and got deeper inside the individual characters. At the same time, it still had everything I love about the series: frantic action, whirlwind of one-liners, film references, and, above all, brutal humor. ()

Rickornichon (2017) (S03E03)

anglais If not the best episode of the series, definitely in the top three. Pickle Rick deserves his own show or even a feature-length movie — I’d totally watch it. Starting with controlling a cockroach, the episode escalates into the most brutal action sequence yet, and for this series, that’s saying something. ()

Détente et Rick-laxation (2017) (S03E06)

anglais This episode didn't race forward, but it was one of the darker ones, delving into Rick's relationships. Overall, I enjoyed it, and the sea cucumber bit after the credits completely got me. ()

Les Souvenirs effacés de Morty (2017) (S03E08)

anglais How am I supposed to write reviews for something that's consistently awesome without repeating myself? I don't know. Once again, I had a blast watching this episode. The post-credits scene was hilarious (and hellishly hot for Beebo). ()

Season 4 (2019) (S04)

anglais You’d have a hard time convincing me that the fourth season was weak, since I spent the whole time (with the exception of the sixth episode) laughing. Rick made my brain disappear and replaced it with an endorphin dispenser. As usual, I had a great time, and I was thrilled that I could, in this day and age, enjoy some seriously politically incorrect humor. ()

Edge of Tomorty : Rick Die Rickpeat (2019) (S04E01)

anglais The creators really take their time with this series, but every moment of waiting has paid off for me so far. And that holds true for the opening episode of the fourth season as well, which delivered everything I love about this show. Rick's still throwing political correctness out the window, risking Morty's life in dangerous situations, and there's no shortage of blood, guts, and all that good stuff. ()

Le Vieil Homme et la merde (2019) (S04E02)

anglais While the last episode had me chuckling non-stop, this one lost a bit of momentum. The storyline even got me contemplating at times. It's not that it's bad, but with Rick and Morty, I mostly expect a barrage of inappropriate humor and twisted guts. Yeah, I know, it's a bit sad, but that's the deal... ()

Vol au-dessus d'un nid de Morty (2019) (S04E03)

anglais Episode three raced ahead like a bullet train. From the very start to the post-credits scene, I was hooked, navigating through the twists in the twists, trying not to lose track. You really have to see it to get what I mean. ()

C'est mon dragon et bien plus encore (2019) (S04E04)

anglais Thankfully, I'm not a prude, or else I might not have made it through this episode. It began with such a seemingly innocent wish, but oh, how quickly things took a turn! It made me realize just what I've been missing out on, probably for the sake of broader appeal, in Game of Thrones. But you know what? Taste aside, I had a blast watching it. ()

Rattlestar Ricklactica (2019) (S04E05)

anglais The creators really got me with this one. They hooked me in the first half of the season, only to leave me hanging and waiting impatiently for more. It felt unfair and unsportsmanlike, to say the least. Snake Planet was great, especially the dialogue among the snakes was surprisingly captivating, and don't even get me started on snake jazz:-) ()

Rickstoires sans fin (2020) (S04E06)

anglais I'll admit, I had full faith that Rick and Morty's wild escapades would always deliver, so this was quite the shocker. The storyline fell completely flat for me — my disappointment was off the charts. 3*- ()

Promortheus (2020) (S04E07)

anglais After a very cold shower, I had a great time this time. A slightly different Alien worked on my diaphragm, Rick once again unleashed one of his infamous massacres, and finally, an American managed to swim out of the self-centered ocean of pathos to use the untouchable theme to create humor. Just for that reason, I have to give full fire. ()

L'Épisode de la Cuve d'acide (2020) (S04E08)

anglais An outstanding episode. As a longtime fan of this series, I've consistently rated each episode with five stars, and this one is no exception. The plot captivated me from start to finish, and the silent passage was absolutely flawless. ()

Les Rick de Morty (2020) (S04E09)

anglais Initially, I was going to give this episode four stars, but Rick's performance (planet!) and Jerry's antics tipped the scales in its favor. 5*- ()

Star Mort : Le ricktour du Jerry (2020) (S04E10)

anglais The fourth season's finale hit the mark once more. The siblings fighting over the invisibility belt had me thoroughly entertained, and my enjoyment lasted all the way through to the fantastic post-credit scene. ()

Season 5 (2021) (S05)

anglais Count me among the satisfied viewers of this show. I'm quite happy with the development so far, and I'm able to see past the minor imperfections. Sure, some episodes didn't really have much worthwhile content that had a bearing on the main story, but I used those episodes to switch off my brain, put myself in an almost vegetative state, and enjoy all that political incorrectness. / Lesson learned: Other dimensions are a great place to unwind.
