Episode 6 (2018) (S02E06)

anglais I often criticize the show's screenwriter, but I'm starting to question whether my criticism is entirely fair. Maybe things just work differently in Belgium. For all I know, it might be perfectly normal for a prime minister to head home in the evening like any regular bank clerk without a team of bodyguards. And perhaps it's not so far-fetched for a prime minister to have a sister who works as a high-end escort. I'm skeptical, though, so I'm sticking with 2 stars. ()

Episode 7 (2018) (S02E07)

anglais Whatever the reality may be in Belgium, this episode really took me by surprise. Instead of a below-average crime drama, we got a below-average romantic movie spiced up with an action scene. Jamie's reaction to the video he watched was hilarious. Considering how ready he was to take out Nicola to complete his mission, I can only assume he would have done it with his eyes tightly shut. Episode 8 (2018) (S02E08)

anglais I doubt the creators can pleasantly surprise me at this point. They've cooked up a plot they can't seem to escape from, and even if there was a way out, there's no one to execute it. So, we continue to watch the clumsy Paul Gerardi stumble through the story, occasionally mugging someone or breaking in somewhere. That's Belgium for you, I guess. ()

Episode 9 (2018) (S02E09)

anglais At first, I thought this might be a more action-packed episode deserving of a higher rating, but then came the long surveillance sequence (and I mean really long). When the big action finale finally arrived, it ended up being just as predictable as ever. Some moments were painfully obvious, only for the experienced detective to then shock me by apparently forgetting about the sniper he had so deftly evaded earlier — thanks to what seemed like early-onset dementia. It felt like a real slap in the face. ()

Episode 10 (2018) (S02E10)

anglais A truly "fitting" conclusion to the second season and the entire series. The creators abandoned any pretense of logic, story coherence (not that it was great to begin with), or connection to reality, focusing instead on a rushed ending so they could move on to their next equally "high-quality" project.
