Remarkable performances, a unique story and unsentimental execution in this not-so-subversive, almost touching film dealing with the last months of a young man's life through an intimate lens. There aren't really any downright climactic scenes, but it's a healthily balanced little intimate film that's very easy to miss on the shelf, as it doesn't scream out to the world with brutal advertising, big names, or a big budget, but it has great testimonial value with a kind of medium pacing. One of those films where I feel the book would be much better. ()
