The 80's are kicking off in grandiose style and The Warriors are just dripping with bad taste. Fortunately, it's all pretty decently shot and the action is fast-paced. ()
A simple idea, but one that was exploited to the max. Virtually unknown actors in front of the camera, action specialist Walter Hill behind it, unpredictable gangs, and also a hardly predictable story that can turn out in any way. I enjoyed it. ()
It’s quite boring, despite the fact that this whole nourishing walk through gangster territory is soaked to the bone with testosterone. Hill is comfortable with a world where men rule through hard power and women are put in the roles of whores, traitors, or both. Unfortunately, it's annoying that apart from the more substantial plot, the script doesn't offer up any proper action (let’s be honest, the Warriors just keep running away), or even something to remember. Adrenaline at zero. ()
