I liked Big Russian sci-fi better than Independence Day. The effects are good, the aliens are innovative, the suffocating ending is decent, but there's a bit too much romance for my taste. It was okay to watch though, I wasn't bored. 60%. ()
Attraction impresses mainly with its technical workmanship, which is at a really high level (the Russians really surprised me) – the action sequence with the crash of the spaceship was really good and I also liked the unusual look of the aliens. The story is to some extent one big cliché – the contact of two different races and pointing out the "lowliness" and immaturity of the human one – but unlike other users, the romantic line, for example, didn't bother me. Along with sci-fi, action and romance, the film features a few humorous interludes. The film certainly could have done with twenty minutes less running time, but I still can't say that I was significantly bored. ()
