Unjustly accused of theft, Raimundo is forced to leave the family home. A new incident, caused by his brother José, prompts his girlfriend and father to condemn him. Only his mother, pained by her children’s poor choices, believes in him. Raimundo’s sister Amalia rejects the family’s financial situation, breaking off her engagement to the man she loves to marry someone rich. The family falls apart as the children grow up.
