Pork Pie tracks the escapades of a trio of accidental outlaws as they travel the length of New Zealand in a yellow mini, protesting conformity and chasing lost love, with a posse of cops and a media frenzy hot in their pursuit. The film starts out with Jon fleeing his own wedding to confront his ex-girlfriend. After almost being run over, he is offered a ride by Luke who's driving a stolen Mini Cooper and is on the run from a group of vengeful criminals. The duo becomes three after picking up Kiera from a fast food restaurant, and the 'Blondini Gang' is born. Police forces pursue the trio across both Islands of New Zealand, with Kiera establishing the three as animal rights vigilantes after taking the tour to social media, and Jon haplessly keeping his hopes up that once he arrives in Invercargill, his ex will take him back.
