anglais The only actually funny thing here is the closing “trailer" for the sequel. It’s quite an interesting idea to make a parody of old kung fu movies and over-dubbing the originals, but unfortunately the result is very disappointing. It all remains on a level of farts and toilet humor in general. Although you can tell from the movie that Oedekerk is a fan, he could have had a little better judgement and cast somebody else in the main role. He is the biggest negative of the movie. Him and the fatal mistake (in a parody) that apart from a couple of lighter moments, he isn’t funny, but embarrassing. ()

anglais I feel sorry for everyone who saw this masterpiece of parody in a dubbed version. At least half of the gags are based on the vocal performances of Steve Oedekerk and the others. I never thought that this craziness would make such an impression on me or that some of its quotes would become my personal cult favorites. During my high school years, few things brought such a broad smile to my face as this. ()

anglais Rather than being a comedy or a full-fledged parody, Kung Pow: Enter the Fist is a very amateurish B-movie dubbed entirely by one person, with absolutely poor camera work, infantile dialogue and at times tragically awkward humour, but ironically this is actually the main strength of the whole film. Because if it doesn't even take itself seriously, you won’t take it seriously either, and this is an absolutely perfect example of a film where a bunch of stoned dudes have a perfect time, but watching it with the idea of a serious parody or comedy is a suicide mission. I actually can't decide for myself if this is the best thing I've ever seen or the absolute biggest piece of crap, but either way this hits all the serious kung fu/martial arts Asian films very, very accurately, taking on the most iconic moments of all of Asian cinema and at times I was literally rolling on the floor laughing.
