To classify this film primarily as a comedy doesn't seem quite right to me, because first and foremost, this Krejčík film is a psychological drama. Julius Satinský is absolutely brilliant in the role of a man haunted by fate, particularly by people, and many other actors (especially Zedníček) show that the Czechs certainly have someone who can play compelling roles in a drama.
