It's nice and somewhat poignantly poetic, but it doesn't particularly stand out as a film in any significant way. I'm talking specifically about a short film that's around fifteen minutes long - it's mostly presented as a collection of stories. The Reluctant Dragon has entertaining scenes and certainly had its charms in its time. Today, it's surpassed, and even in its animation, you can see that it's not flawless.
