Servant - Season 1

Apple TV seems to be taking the same route as Netflix—rolling out interesting concepts with big-name talent. This time, they brought in M. Night Shyamalan, a master of mystery and suspense. As much as I generally like his work, Servant just didn’t do it for me. Sure, it nails that unsettling, eerie vibe where you’re never quite sure what’s going on—kind of like Twin Peaks or Dark. But the characters are so insufferable, especially the female leads, who just grated on my nerves the entire time. By the time I reached the final episode, I was so frustrated that there’s no way I’m giving the second season a shot. (26/02/2021)
