anglais Casting Daisy Edgar-Jones and Paul Mescal in the lead roles was probably the best decision the creators of this series could have made. Their performances are flawless. However, the storyline, which meticulously portrays the relationship of two modern-day millennials, only reinforces my feeling that I understand young people less and less. It all feels a bit too sensitive, almost excessively so. Fortunately, the soundtrack was fantastic and kept me hooked until the end. ()

anglais The formative years of my generation perfectly captured with all the benefits as well as the problems brought about by the digitalization of life. The inability to fit in, communicate and express yourself clearly, problematic relationships, and pretense. All that is amplified by the fact that the characters are rather introverted, which is why the story makes even more sense to me. The soundtrack is good and the actors, especially the two protagonists, are absolutely perfect in their roles. But there is a hitch. The story is often frustrating, and the characters often behave irrationally or simply cannot communicate clearly, which can make the viewer just as frustrated. It was probably intentional, but the result is that a lot of people probably won’t finish watching the series, which is a shame. The year you were born will probably make a huge difference. ()
