Le Goût des marguerites (2018)
Apart from the one-line film synopsis, I had no idea what I was getting myself into, yet (or precisely because of that) it was a very pleasant experience. I enjoyed the strange atmosphere of a small town, with one scumbag next to another. The only fixed point was the soon-to-be retiree Alberte. The story was excellent except for some unnecessary goofs at the end, it was decently paced, and I am almost completely satisfied. ()
Par moi... (2018) (S01E01)
The small-town atmosphere sealed the deal for me, earning that extra star. There's something chilling about the way everyone's intertwined, knowing each other's business — or so they think. Pretty depressing vibes. ()
L'Angoisse de ceux qui sont en bas (2018) (S01E02)
After just two episodes, I'm thoroughly impressed by the Spanish series. What's intriguing is how it captivates without relying heavily on action scenes. ()
Le Même Vestige que la fumée dans l'air (2018) (S01E03)
The creators are maintaining a steady pace of development in the main storyline. Plus, the side stories aren't just filler; they add depth and complement the central investigation seamlessly. ()
Sépare-toi de ces morts ! (2018) (S01E04)
The fourth episode maintained the momentum of the storyline without any signs of stagnation. It's becoming clear that the creators have a knack for keeping things engaging without resorting to the typical lulls seen in other series. Given the events unfolding, I'm starting to think a vacation in Galicia might not be the wisest choice. ()
Nulle douleur plus grande... (2018) (S01E05)
The fifth episode cranked up the tension and delivered some serious action. However, I was on the verge of docking a star due to a frustrating deus ex machina moment. I didn't expect such a misstep from the creators. 5*- ()
Laissez toute espérance ! (2018) (S01E06)
Well, talk about saving the best for last! The finale was packed with those classic "WTF?" moments, and I'm not referring to the identity theft that gave me a chuckle. Despite a handful of cringe-worthy scenes, the series wrapped up nicely, leaving me with the lesson that owls and cats aren't what they seem,. ()
