I've seen quite a few recent African-American conversational romantic comedies, and this one indeed stands out among them. It's not a particularly special film, but it has a plot and good performances, and it's not entirely miserable. It won't excel in competition with classic and great romantic films, but compared to other similar movies, it's good. Sometimes it's quite funny, the romance works, but the ending is just romantically bad.
