Season 1 (2021) (S01)

anglais HBO has once again delivered an excellent creation. At first glance, The White Lotus might seem like an ordinary relationship drama, but don’t be fooled. It's important to note that the show relies heavily on superb audiovisual elements that elevate the overall experience to entirely new levels. Then again, did anyone expect less from a giant like HBO? I didn’t. The satirical edge and dark humor are something I haven’t seen in cinema for a while. Every character stands out in their own way. If I had to choose just one from such a diverse cast, I’d pick the hotel owner, Armond. Murray Bartlett gave a truly phenomenal performance, portraying the escalating tension with remarkable skill. Everything builds up to a finale that has plenty of surprises. I’m looking forward to the second season. Quality work. I give it 8/10. ()

Season 2 (2022) (S02)

anglais The move to sunny Sicily was a resounding success. I truly enjoyed the Italian setting even more this time. As for the audiovisual aspects, they are top-notch in the genre once again! The stunning scenery is simply breathtaking. I was pleased with the return of a familiar character, and the new additions in this category also shone brightly. Among the entire cast, Will Sharpe and Aubrey Plaza stood out for me; watching the dynamic between Will and Harper was intense, like witnessing the breakdown of an ideal relationship. But everyone was fantastic, including the whole Italian family with the timeless Murray Abraham, who stole quite a few scenes. The beautiful locations, meticulously crafted script, and grand finale left no one unaffected. I’m genuinely curious about where the third season will go. The idea of a ski resort doesn’t sound bad on paper at all! We’ll see. The second season earns a solid 8.5/10 from me. ()
