Au XXVIe siècle, l'humanité est en guerre contre le Covenant, une alliance de plusieurs espèces extraterrestres. Halo had the makings of being one of the best science fiction series of our time. It's a well-known brand, especially among console gamers, but even in general it's a fairly rewarding sci-fi theme with a cool world to build on, but the result sucks. If, on a nine hour field, the creators only deliver action in the first, middle and last episodes, with literally nothing in between but chatter, flipping back and forth and desert walks filling 90% of the running time, then it's a bummer. The cast is weak and bland, the script is bland and formulaic, and while the visuals are actually pretty (above) average and not downright bad to look at, they have terribly little room to impress. The action is dynamic, bloody and at certain moments quite engaging, but there is way too little of it, and all the boring filler around it makes you wonder if you really want to "waste" your time with this. For example, almost half of the series is spent dealing with Kwan-Ha's storyline, which is terribly dull and doesn't fit into the "connection" of her line with the Spartans and Master Chief at all. I was looking forward to it a lot, but the result is disappointing and just another boring, uninteresting and forgettable series.
