Un mystérieux serial killer s’attaque aux cinéastes les plus adulés de Téhéran. Hasan Kasmai, un réalisateur iranien, est étrangement épargné. Censuré depuis des mois, lâché par son actrice fétiche, il est aussi la cible des réseaux sociaux. What fascinated me most about Pig was the fact that director Mani Haghighi had the guts to make something like this in Iran. It seems like things might be loosening up over there a bit. The premise is interesting, and Hassan's T-shirts are great, but the whole thing felt like a bit too much of a wild ride for me. Hassan's behavior, which was definitely intentional, reminded me of a 12-year-old Instagrammer.

The music, which perfectly corresponds with the somewhat aggressive style of the humor, is certainly a welcome admixture to this totally crazy tragicomedy. By Iranian standards, this is a rather bold movie, but Mani Haghighi could have picked a shorter route to get to the message. I really liked the acting performance from Hassan Majooni, whose sense of humor shone through in the lead role. (65%)
