anglais After a long time a decent action ride from Korea led by the so far unnoticed action star Bin Hyeon!! The plot isn't too complicated, it's a revenge film and a buddy comedy at the same time, which is a nice change of pace. Visually very decent, the action is great, especially the fights make you remember why I started watching South Korean movies in the first place. I liked the music and I laughed a few times, so I am pleasantly surprised, I didn't expect it. More action movies with Bin Hyeon, I really liked his badass look and talent in fights! 75% ()

anglais I expected a lighthearted buddy comedy, and that’s exactly what I got. Confidential Assignment blends genres quite well, portraying serious moments with a decent level of authenticity. On the flip side, the film also delivers a good amount of fun and humor, largely thanks to the main acting duo: the quirky South Korean detective and his charismatic, tough Northern colleague. Before watching, I wouldn't have believed that this combination could work, but I was thoroughly entertained. The film might have benefited from a more innovative plot, as it relies heavily on clichés and doesn’t put much effort into the main storyline. Given the budget, I anticipated more intense action. While there are a decent number of one-on-one fights and shootouts, the film primarily focuses on the chemistry between the two leads, which it successfully achieves. Overall, it’s an entertaining watch. Personally, I wouldn't mind a sequel, provided it maintains a similar quality. A solid three stars. For me, it gets 70%. ()
